KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — Four more patients are suing a Knoxville surgery center alleging poor care, doubling the number of complaints filed against it in Knox County Circuit Court.

The East Tennesseans allege they became infected with a virulent, unusual form of bacteria during 2023 knee procedures at Parkwest Surgery Center that resulted in months of pain and frustration, emergency room visits and repeated follow-up operations when their original surgeries failed to heal.
