Assuming Tulane (7-2, 4-1 American Conference), South Florida (8-2, 4-1) and North Texas (8-1, 4-1) keep winning, the Wave almost certainly will be locked out of the league’s championship game because of poor computer metrics if it is not ranked ahead of the Mean Green in the college football playoff rankings entering the final weekend of the regular season.
