LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One of Louisville’s most critical travel corridors will grow from four to six lanes over the next two years, according to a news release from Gov. Andy Beshear, D-Ky.
The $50 million investment project aims to ease traffic congestion, increase safety, and improve efficiency for travelers on Interstate 71, the news release said.
“Our administration continues to make historic investments to improve safety and reliability on our interstates and to reduce commute times,” said Beshear. “This project along I-71 will make travel safer and more efficient for Kentucky families, visitors and businesses, while also supporting future growth in one of Louisville’s busiest corridors.”
