Tory Lanez will remain in prison.
The 33-year-old rapper has been serving time for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot back in 2020, after being sentenced to ten years in 2023.
Tory has since maintained that he’s innocent and has refused to apologize. He filed an appeal to overturn the 10-year sentence, but was denied by the courts.
The rapper claimed there was insufficient proof that he was the shooter and he received an unfair trial. The court’s ruling said there was no reason to overturn the verdict.
“ Peterson contends the trial court committed a number of errors,” the appeals court shared, via Billboard . “We find no prejudicial error and, accordingly, affirm Peterson ’s conviction.”
