PINOLE — Just more than a year after taking the position, Pinole City Manager Kelcey Young plans to exit her role this month in pursuit of other career opportunities, the city announced Wednesday.
Young, whose last day will be Nov. 28, took over as city manager in August 2024 after entering into a three-year contract to lead the city of about 19,500 residents.
“On behalf of the City of Pinole, I want to thank City Manager Young for her service during her tenure. We wish her the very best as she pursues new career opportunities,” Mayor Cameron Sasai said in a text message to this news organization on Wednesday.
Prior to her arrival in Pinole, Young served as city manager of Sweet Home, Oregon, a city of about 10,000 residents, from 2022 to 2024.
Young has also served as finance director
