BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (WNDU) - The superintendent of Benton Harbor Area Schools has admitted to a confrontation with parents and students at Benton Harbor High School.
Dr. Simone Griffin, who has been on the job since July, issued a public statement acknowledging the incident. The confrontation involved a student whose father says the superintendent made inappropriate comments about the girl’s recently deceased mother.
Spencer Harris said his daughter went into the hallway where a fight between two other students was happening. He said Griffin then turned to his daughter and a verbal altercation began between them.
