KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Two people were taken to jail for their roles in reportedly forcing their way into someone’s apartment.
It happened on Nov. 7, when police were called to the Oak Place Apartments regarding a burglary in progress.
Officials owning the property said a woman told them that two men removed a security camera from the wall outside and forced their way into the apartment with a knife.
After police got to the scene, they said the woman told them that she did not give them permission to be in her home. The two men, identified as Joseph Elliott and Wiley Medlin, said they had received permission.
Later, officers reviewed security footage that a woman provided. Police learned that the two men covered the camera with tape. Video then showed the camera being removed from t
