RINCON, Ga. (WTOC) — The family of a man killed in Rincon in 2020 is still searching for answers.
In October 2020, 70-year-old George Williams was found dead at a pool house on McCall Road in Rincon. The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office ruled his death a homicide, but no one has been arrested in the case.
His 98-year-old mother, Katherine Williams, remembers their last conversation the day before he died.
“I’m sitting here eating some ice cream,” Katherine said. “I asked him what kind you eating, and he said, ‘Well, I’ve got two or three different kinds, but I’m eating some vanilla. If I was close to you, I’d let you help me.’”
WTOC submitted an open records request for updates in the case, but the Sheriff’s Office denied that request. Officials say the case remains in the hands of
