Darnell Sealy-McCrorey’s 13-year-old daughter Niyell was hit and killed by a speeding driver in October of last year in Manhattan.

“She was a beautiful soul angel," said Sealy-McCrorey of his daughter. "Very energetic, loving person, always engaging other peers and friends in the communities. She played several different instruments. She was a loving child. A gift from God.”

A gift taken away too soon. Sealy-McCrorey believes it could have been prevented with a speed limiter device.

“And I wish that this device [had been] installed and previously passed so that maybe it could have prevented a few other deaths and crashes,” Sealy-McCrorey said.
