SHREVEPORT, La. — The ongoing investigation involving Deputy Fire Chief Carolyn Henderson and Fire Chief Clarence Reese has been dropped — at least for now. Earlier this year, Henderson filed a complaint accusing Reese of abuse of power, gender bias, and multiple instances of harassment. During Wednesday morning’s Shreveport Fire and Police Civil Service Board meeting, Henderson’s attorney formally withdrew the complaint on her behalf. The complaint had been pending since early summer, in part because Henderson failed to submit the required documentation for the case to proceed. According to her attorney, Henderson was not present at the meeting due to illness. At this time, it’s unclear whether the matter could be revisited in the future.
