OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha saw an amazing northern lights showing Tuesday night, as a geomagnetic storm arrived a bit earlier than expected.

This resulted in incredible views in Omaha and across other parts of the country. The best news is, this event is not over yet! The chance of seeing the northern lights Wednesday is lower, but it is still very possible.

The further north you live in the country, the better chance you have of seeing anything tonight. The chance for viewing the lights stretches just far enough down to reach into our area.

And our weather may affect the viewing conditions, too! We’re expecting partly cloudy skies tonight, unlike our clear skies last night. This may obstruct the view at times this evening.
