CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KCRG) - Gladbrook-Reinbeck lost, 38-30 to Woodbine in the 8-player semifinals.
The Rebels trailed by as much as 16, but stormed back to tie the game in the fourth quarter. Ultimately, a 4th-and-goal touchdown from the Tigers won the game for Woodbine.
It’s a tough loss to process for the seniors who won’t play high school football again.
“It’s kind of hard looking back and being like, ‘I’m done with high school football now.’ But I know that I loved every second of it. I loved every second to play with my guys. Working in the weight room, and those early mornings, that’s not the most fun. But that’s when football starts,” said senior receiver, Hudson Clark.
Gladbrook’s season comes to an end with just one loss.
