BLOOMINGTON – There were certainly elements of IU's first-half performance against Milwaukee that were positive.

Nick Dorn made his debut, the Hoosiers kept hitting 3s and Indiana committed only three turnovers, to name a few.

Taken as a whole, however, IU's performance in the opening 20 minutes was somewhat lackluster, at least compared to what it did against Alabama A&M and Marquette to open the season. The Hoosiers weren't quite as crisp as they've been on offense despite some flashes of excellence and they gave up too many easy baskets on defense. At the break, their lead is a somewhat modest 51-39 and Milwaukee is hanging around.
