Car repair costs are set to rise, affecting even basic items like oil filters, as manufacturers adjust prices due to tariffs and changes in production.
The CEO of PGI (Premium Guard Inc.) Anan Bishara warned that various car parts are expected to increase by 10% to 30%, depending on the product category. PGI is one of the largest companies in North America that makes auto filtrations. Bishara said different filters and parts not made of steel would see the jump. As an example, an oil filter that costs $10 right now would potentially rise to $11 or $13.
"That's not great. Life is expensive right now. You know, hard time to be alive," said Ryan Dinning, reacting to the news.
Parts containing steel, such as brake drums and panels, are expected to see even larger increases, ranging from 30%
