The City of Seattle is moving closer to electing a new mayor after Tuesday’s ballot drop shows challenger Katie Wilson’s lead growing.

Wilson’s goal is to be more transparent than other mayors.

Up 1,350 votes over Mayor Bruce Harrell, Wilson told reporters she has plans of kicking off her first term tackling homelessness, but she expects bureaucratic obstacles will try and get in her way and slow down her agenda.

“But I think really being transparent and honest about what we’re doing and about the obstacles that we come up against, hopefully we can bring people along,” Wilson told reporters Tuesday night.
