Pittsburgh Public Schools officials are considering a districtwide cellphone ban, a direct response to a September stabbing at Carrick High School.
Directors during Wednesday’s virtual policy workshop proposed changing its rules on electronic devices to include the ban rather than following current language, which leaves cellphone policies up to individual schools. The proposed changes come months after a 16-year-old stabbed three other boys during a fight at the high school.
