The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted searches at 10 locations across five states, including Gujarat, in an Al Qaeda Gujarat terror conspiracy case involving illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.
NIA teams conducted searches at premises linked with suspects and their associates at the selected locations in the states of Gujarat, West Bengal, Tripura, Meghalaya, and Haryana. Several digital devices and incriminating documents were also seized during the searches, which have been sent for forensic analysis.
A probe into the case, registered by NIA in June 2023, has so far revealed that four Bangladeshi nationals - Mohammed Sojibmiyan, Munna Khalid Ansari, Azarul Islam, and Abdul Latif - illegally entered India using forged Indian identity documents. They were allegedly
