Investigators probing the Red Fort blast have traced a key link between the arrested suspects and a foreign handler operating from Ankara, Turkey, police sources said.
According to officials, the handler, identified by the codename “Ukasa” — was in direct contact with the main accused, Dr Umar Un Nabi and his associates, through the Session app, an encrypted messaging platform known for its high level of anonymity.
Agencies suspect that Ukasa, which means spider in Arabic, may not be the handler’s real name, but a code name used to conceal his identity. His location has been traced to Ankara, and officials believe he coordinated the group’s movements, finances, and radicalisation efforts from there.
