When I was a kid, the phrase "Queenie Bee is coming" was a surefire way to get my attention, as well as that of my neighborhood friends. She was the mascot for the long-defunct burger chain Burger Queen , and there was one right down the street from the house where I grew up.

That building is still in use as the home of Skillman's Auto Sales, but every time I drive by, I remember Burger Queen, Queenie Bee, and its now-unusual menu.
Burger Queen was unique in that it was a fast-food restaurant that offered not only burgers but also chicken and fish dinners. And a salad bar. Have you ever seen a salad bar in another fast-food place? I haven't. It covered all the bases
