BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Mike Archer was a huge part of LSU football’s success during the 1980s, coaching a total of seven seasons with the Tigers in some capacity.

Archer was an assistant coach under Bill Arnsparger from 1984 through 1986, before becoming the Tigers’ head coach from 1987 through 1990.

During that time, LSU won SEC championships in 1986 and 1988, while also enjoying a 10-1-1 campaign during the 1987 season.

Archer stopped by for an entertaining and lengthy conversation about his days with the Tigers and the current state of LSU football through wild times.
