On Monday, the New York Giants became the second NFL team to fire a head coach this season when they announced Brian Daboll would no longer be in charge.

Unlike the Tennessee Titans, the Giants and University of North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick could have a mutual interest in teaming up for 2026. Belichick was an assistant coach for the Giants from 1980 to 1990. He won two Super Bowls as the defensive coordinator in New York under then-head coach Bill Parcells.
When speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Belichick didn't deny interest in returning to coach the Giants in the NFL, saying he was focused on the Tar Heels upcoming game against Wake Forest on Saturday.
