Chamoli : The cold weather in Badrinath Dham is becoming more intense with each passing day. Since October, the temperature has been falling steadily, and now it has reached extreme levels. At night, the mercury drops to minus 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, making it one of the coldest spells in recent years.
Due to this severe cold, streams and lakes in the area have started to freeze. The Rishi Ganga stream, which flows past Bamni village, has turned into ice. A thin layer of ice is also forming on Badrish Lake, showing how strong the cold has become.
