New Delhi: Shri Santosh Sarangi, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, addressed the first plenary session of International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH) 2025, outlining the pivotal role of the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) in securing India’s energy future. He stressed that the Mission, through its focus on strengthening energy resilience and advancing decarbonization, is key to the nation’s transition toward a low-carbon economy.

Shri Sarangi, MNRE Secretary highlighted the four foundational pillars of the NGHM: policy and regulatory framework, demand creation, research and development (R&D) and innovation, and enabling infrastructure and ecosystem development.
