Vermont soccer trailed its America East Conference semifinal against New Hampshire deep into the snowy night on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Surely, the Catamounts would find way to win. And without a doubt, Maximilian Kissel would be the one to deliver the final kick.
This is the expectation the defending NCAA champions have created for their fans and the state.
It's hard to fathom, but here we are once more: Kissel and the Catamounts, improbably, have done it again.
After assisting on the equalizer late in regulation, Kissel knocked in the game-winning goal in the 98th minute as top-seeded Vermont swiped a 2-1 overtime victory over No. 4 New Hampshire in front of 2,753 at Virtue Field, to advance to the conference championship game for the second straight year.
