MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - Three people were arrested after police stopped a stolen vehicle Wednesday afternoon, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.

MJPD said an officer patrolling Providence Marketplace spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Nashville on Oct. 1.

Two people then exited Dick’s Sporting Goods and got into the alleged stolen vehicle, joining the driver.

The officer stopped the vehicle, and during the stop, two of the three in the car were found to be wanted.

“A 41-year-old passenger from Clarksville, wanted by Nashville authorities for failing to appear on four different charges, was also found in possession of fentanyl and meth,” MJPD said. “A 40-year-old Nashville woman, also a passenger, was wanted for shoplifting.”
