SIOUX FALLS — Team Tabitha Peterson earned a spot in the best-of-three finals this weekend at the US Olympic curling trials with a day to spare on Wednesday.
The Eagan, Minnesota-based skip and her team of Cory Thiesse of Duluth, Tara Peterson (Eagan) and Taylor Anderson-Heide (Minneapolis), have a 4-0 record through two days of round-robin competition and can finish no lower than second in the four-team field.
Peterson’s rink will compete in a best-of-three finals series starting on Friday against whoever comes out of two more games on Thursday in second place overall. The winning team will then need to earn qualification for the 2026 Olympics at an international last-chance tournament in Kelowna, British Columbia in December.
