KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The City of Kearney has approved an air service agreement to add a round-trip flight between Kearney Regional Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
The round-trip flights will begin on April 30, 2026, with an expected mid-afternoon departure time.
Kearney Mayor Jonathan Nikkila said the flight could be loaded into the booking system as soon as Friday.
The CRJ200 aircraft has a typical seating capacity of 50 passengers.
The terms of the agreement are scheduled for the service to continue through October 31, 2027.
This route served Kearney from 2019 to 2022 but fell victim to the COVID-19 pandemic and industry issues at the time.
