UPDATE: October 12 at 10:13 a.m.

According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on November 3 at around 6:30 p.m., and left one person dead.

One car was heading southbound on Travis Road while another traveled eastbound on Sellards Road. BCSO said one of them failed to stop at a sop sign and caused the crash.

43-year-old Abel Sanchez Cruz was killed at the scene.

Five total people were involved in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – Deputies and medics responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Sellards Road and Travis Road in south Benton County.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office reported that the roadway will be temporarily closed.
