Rain and snow showers will linger across western and northern Pennsylvania through Thursday, with breezy conditions expected to continue. Minor snow accumulations of less than half an inch are possible in the northwest mountains overnight.

The National Weather Service in State College reports that partly to mostly cloudy skies will prevail tonight with temperatures ranging from 30 to 40 degrees.

Aurora viewing opportunities may be possible in the southeastern half of central Pennsylvania due to the G4 or greater severe geomagnetic solar storm forecast by the Space Weather Prediction Center.

Thursday will remain breezy with occasional rain and snow showers continuing downwind of Lake Erie across parts of north central Pennsylvania.
