The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on Wednesday evening expressed profound grief over the loss of lives in the terrorist incident involving a car explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi on the evening of November 10, 2025. The Cabinet observed two minutes’ silence in honour of the innocent lives lost.

In a resolution adopted during the meeting, the Union Cabinet termed the incident “a heinous terror incident, perpetrated by anti-national forces, through a car explosion near the Red Fort on the evening of November 10, 2025.” The explosion claimed at least eight innocent lives and injured several others around 7 p.m. that day.
