The Swan Valley Stampeders saw their bid for back-to-back wins come to an end Wednesday night, dropping a 5–1 decision to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on the road.

Waywayseecappo product Xander Mecas led the charge for the Wolverines, recording his first career MJHL goal and adding an assist as the home side snapped a three-game losing streak.

Ben Roulette, Henry Thunderblanket, Dylan Duzan, and Brodie Heimbecker also found the back of the net for Waywayseecappo, while Trace Langan scored the lone goal for Swan Valley.

Jase Wareham turned aside 16 of 17 shots to earn his eighth win of the season for the Wolverines. Swan Valley goaltender Easton Falls allowed five goals on 25 shots in the loss.
