A host of suspicious posters pasted along the walls of Srinagar startled the instincts of GV Sandeep Chakravarthy. His prompt actions in recognizing the acts soon led to the discovery of one of the biggest terror networks spread across several parts of India. The posters, which were put up by Jaish-e-Mohammed, had appeared on the streets of Nowgam Bunpiora in Srinagar, warning security forces of serious consequences.
While most locals ignored them, SSP GV Sudeep Chakravarthy, the Telugu IPS officer who led the investigation, recognized the threat that could be looming behind the posters. SSP Chakravarthy has had an illustrious career and is known for counter-terror operations, having earlier led the J&K police team that neutralized the three Pahalgam attackers in Operation Mahadev.
