Wednesday night's aurora australis lit up the skies in spectacular hues of purple, blue and green.
If you missed the display , the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has confirmed there is a very high chance the southern lights will be visible again tonight.

What is the best time to see the aurora australis tonight?
The BOM says the aurora may be seen during local night-time hours in the mid to southern parts of Australia.
It also says good observing conditions at high latitudes will improve your chances of witnessing the southern lights.
