As the investigation continued into the November 10 blast near the Red Fort in Delhi, a joint team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and Delhi Police on Thursday recovered a body part near the New Lajpat Rai Market, located close to the explosion site. To supplement the ongoing probe, the body part was taken for forensic examination. Meanwhile, the death toll in the blast climbed to 13, with more people succumbing to their injuries.
Further, security agencies have recovered the diaries of accused Dr Umar Un Nabi and Dr Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, which mention the dates November 8 to 12, signalling that planning was underway for an attack during that period, sources have said.
