Weather respite centers have been activated in Sacramento County in anticipation of rain and heavy wind gusts over the next several days.

KCRA 3's weather team is calling Thursday an Impact Day because of how wet and windy conditions could affect outdoor activities and travel.

Weather respite is active from Nov. 12 at 3 p.m. until Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Warren E. Thornton Youth Center located on 4000 Branch Center Road in Sacramento, according to the county.
