New Kinsale HQ debuts as first anchor of massive Kinsale Center project near Willow Lawn

One of the anchor buildings of a half-billion-dollar development off West Broad Street hit a milestone this week.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Wednesday for Kinsale Capital Group’s new headquarters at 2015 Staples Mill Road.

The 254,000-square-foot building was previously an office for health insurance giant Anthem, now known as Elevance Health. Kinsale, a publicly traded company offering specialty commercial insurance, purchased and renovated the building , a project that included peeling off the structure’s concrete façade and replacing it with glass.

The office renovation is the first part of the broader Kinsale Center development planned near the intersection of Staples Mill and West Broad.
