Biswanath: In a touching display of love and loyalty, two men from Lakhimpur have set out on foot to pay tribute to the late singer Zubeen Garg. Their journey, which began on November 9, is not just a walk; it’s a heartfelt mission to honour the artist who gave voice to generations and to seek justice in his name.
The two men, Benudhar Saikia from K.B. Road and Mahendra Gogoi from Santipur in Lakhimpur, have been walking tirelessly for days. In the evening, they reached Biswanath Chariali, where they were received with open arms by local youths from Rangman Sangha. The group offered them food, a place to rest, and words of encouragement before they continued their journey towards Sonapur, where Zubeen Garg’s resting place lies.
