A convicted drug-driver lost his sentencing appeal after representing himself in court with disastrous consequences.
Defiant 40-year-old Daniel Volpe tried to challenge a three-year driving ban he was issued for driving under the influence of cannabis.
He was sentenced last year for the driving offence which dated back to November 7, 2023, when he was found with four times the legal level of THC - the main psychoactive compound in cannabis - in his system.
But Volpe returned to court this week without legal representation as he tried to appeal that sentence.

He entered the courtroom, clutching a large blook about the British legal system, while flanked by two security officers.
