Mumbai: Delhi Crime, one of Netflix’s thrilling series, created a buzz online. Recently, Tanuj Chopra, the director of the show, revealed the details of the case he was inspired by.
Speaking to Firstpost, Chopra stated, “Here we got the case, the baby Falak case, where a fourteen-year-old girl in Delhi brings a baby to the hospital with bruises all over her. Over the course of the treatment, cops realise that the young girl is not the mother.”
The 2012 case
A two-year-old girl was brought to AIIMS by a woman, who claimed to be her mother. She was found with multiple injuries, including broken arms, a fractured skull, human bite marks on her body, and burn marks from a hot iron on her cheeks. The staff named the baby Falak. Though they tried their best to save the infant, they failed. T
