Cumberland County Schools employees will be the top in the region for supplement pay after the Cumberland County Board of Education approved a new supplement plan this month.
The plan, approved Nov. 10, is funded by a $13.7 million increase from the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners for teacher and classified staff supplements and will be in effect for this school year, a district news release stated.
Supplements for CCS employees are typically paid toward the end of the school year, a district spokesman said.
According to the release, the investment moves Cumberland County Schools from near the bottom in the region for local teacher supplements to the top.
