Srinagar, Nov 13 (UNI) The night temperatures across Kashmir dropped sharply below the freezing point Wednesday night, marking one of the coldest nights of the season so far, the Meteorological Department said.
According to data from the MeT office, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of -2.1°C, making it as the coldest night of the season. The temperature in Srinagar was 3.4°C below normal for this time of the year.
The maximum temperature in the summer capital settled at 17.1°C yesterday, slightly above the normal of 15.9°C.
The tourist resort of Pahalgam was the coldest place in the Valley, recording a minimum of -3.8°C. Other parts of the region also reeled under sub-zero conditions, with Kupwara recording -2.2°C, Qazigund -1.5°C, and the ski resort of Gulmarg settling at -0.6°
