The Centre has issued a memorandum for immediate compliance of the pension and service gratuity entitlements for central government employees who retired compulsorily before and after the completion of minimum 10 years of service.

Central government employees receive retirement pension on a monthly basis, while service gratuity is usually paid in lump sum. The retirement age for central government employees is 60.
