Max Verstappen has admitted 'everything went red' during his clash with George Russell at the Spanish Grand Prix, as he reflected on the major “mistake” of his 2025 Formula 1 season so far.

With three race weekends remaining, a fifth consecutive world title for Verstappen seems unlikely as after the Brazil GP the Dutchman finds himself 49 points behind championship leader Lando Norris .

According to Verstappen, Red Bull lost a stronger chance in the world title fight during the middle part of this season, when the team struggled with the RB21. The upgrades introduced in Monza made the car more competitive, but Verstappen said before that Red Bull didn’t always extract the car's full potential.
