New Delhi: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio Wednesday labelled the blast near the Red Fort a “terrorist attack” and “commended” India’s “measured and cautious” investigation into the incident. The explosion in the national capital left at least 12 people dead.

“I think the Indians need to be commended; they have been very measured and cautious and very professional in how they’re carrying out this investigation [into the Delhi blast]. The investigation continues. Clearly, it was a terrorist attack,” Rubio said in an interaction with the media.
