A Barrington resident called police at about 7:25 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, after her son hit a golf ball into one of the windows at the middle school, damaging it.

Police said the boy was hitting glow in the dark golf balls on the middle school field when one of his shots struck and damaged a window.

Also in this week's police report, Barrington Police responded to Hilltop Avenue on Wednesday, Nov. 5, for an accident — a vehicle struck a fence. Police said a Massachusetts man was driving in the area when his BMW left the roadway and struck the fence. Police said the man complained of chest pains. Police also said the man did not show any signs of impairment due to drugs or alcohol.
