ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman is now facing murder charges after the remains of a 4-year-old child were found in the trunk of a car in October, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

Jessica Motes, 36, is facing malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery and first-degree cruelty to children in connection to the death of Autumn Fox, who was identified in an incident report.

Fox’s remains were found in the trunk of a car in Oakwood.

Motes was previously charged with concealing a death.

The GBI said on Oct. 26, it was requested by the Oakwood Police Department and Hall County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the investigation.
