Ben Serré, known for putting the people first, came out well in front of the other federal candidates in the recent election.

In Cochrane, of the 11 polls, Serré was ahead in all them. Within the electoral district the final count for the Liberal party’s candidate, Ben Sierré ended with a total count of 19,403.

In second place was Dan Louie of the Canadian Reform Conservative Alliance with 5,840.

Third went to William J. Stairs of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada with 2,603.

Ambrose Raftis of the New Democratic Party pulled in a total of 2,461 and The Green Party of Canada candidate managed to secure 796 votes.

The voter turnout for the federal election was 60.38 percent.
