CHICO, Calif. - The Chico State Wildcats have had an extraordinary season, earning a spot in the tournament and seeing four of their players honored with All-CCAA awards.

Kim Sutton, who has been at the helm of the Chico State women's soccer program since 2001, was named the 2025 CCAA Coach of the Year in her final season.

Sutton's dedication over the years has built one of the conference's most respected programs. In her last campaign, she led a young and resilient team that exceeded expectations and finished second in the regular season with a 7-2-2 conference record.

A highlight of the season was a historic 1-0 victory over No. 1 Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, marking the first time Chico State has defeated the nation's top-ranked team.
