Madikeri: The body of a newborn baby was found near the Forest Office in Madikeri. Police suspect that the baby, who appears to have been born about two weeks ago, may have died around three days earlier.

The body was found in a decomposed state. Madikeri Town Police have registered a case and begun investigation.

Officials from the Town Police, Child Welfare Department, and District Child Protection Unit visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
