Guwahati: The state government of Assam has announced the arrest of 15 individuals across the state for allegedly making social media posts that supported the recent blast at the Red Fort in Delhi. According to Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam, action is being taken proactively against those who attempt to glorify terror or spread hatred online.
The arrests were made after police registered suo motu cases in multiple districts. Among those detained are: Mattiur Rahman of Darrang; Hassan Ali Mondal of Goalpara; Abdul Latif of Chirang; Wajhul Kamal of Kamrup and Nur Amin Ahmed of Bongaigaon. ADVERTISEMENT
